DailyTrust online sports on 12th February, 2018 publicized the very first International fencing tournament known as Junior/Cadet African Fencing Championship that is been awarded to the Nigerian Fencing Federation.

According to the news, the contest was scheduled to hold in Lagos, Nigeria from 26th of February to the 5th of March 2018.

It featured thousands of fencers from 31 Africa registered countries, delegates and spectators from all other African countries inclusive of Nigeria as well as international delegates.
